(Tia gives us her impressions
of the differences between her planet and
Sirius which includes the details of her
astral travel trips to visit it
occasionally. She tells us how she can relay
her images so the other Durondedunns on the
base can see home though it’s a painful
process Tia goes through.)
Russ:
hi love, oh hi Tia.
Tia: hi, hi. Okay I’m going to
go and get some refreshments
for everybody, I will be back
and I will put Huna.......I
will put Bunny on.
Russ: this is a rather long
one yeah.
Tia: uh-huh. But in the
meantime I’m going to quickly
cover whilst Bunny gets
appropriately covered.
Russ: you’re going to cover?
Tia: well I’m going to fill
in, got any questions?
Russ: oh I see. Just kind of
following up on Kiri's stuff, how
are you enjoying the way the
society runs? You’ve seen our
society, you’ve seen their
society, you’ve seen your old
society from Durondedunn.
Tia: they seem a lot more stricter
in some things and a lot less
stricter in others.
Russ: hmm.
Tia: morally, they’re quite
different in some things. For
example, on my planet it’s totally
taboo for two women, it’s totally
taboo for two men.
Russ: really?
Tia: doesn’t mean to say it
doesn’t happen…..
Russ: right.
Tia: but it is taboo. I knew a
young lady that had a secret lover
and I always thought it was a guy.
Russ: oh really?
Tia: uh-huh. I astral traveled
back a while ago….
Russ: uh-huh.
Tia: and it’s another girl, really
surprised me.
Russ: wow.
Tia: also the fact that she has a
family now is a little bit sad and
the fact that I would’ve loved to
have been at her joining.
Russ: uh-huh.
Tia: don’t agree with who she
decided to join with but looking
at him he’s grown up.
Russ: well that’s good.
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: hmm, do the other
Durondedunns travel back there at
all? Can they astral travel?
Tia: no.
Russ: oh.
Tia: besides they're raising their
own Cubs.
Russ: oh, so you go talk to them
every once in a while?
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: good, so you tell him what
you’ve seen anyway?
Tia: yeah and I sometimes will
plug myself into a neural scan and
they’ll see pictures and hear
people talking and they love it.
Russ: oh excellent.
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: that’s nice of you.
Tia: uh-huh. Actually it’s very
uncomfortable.
Russ: oh really?
Tia: yeah, to do it.
Russ: well still, it’s nice you
can do that.
Tia: because basically what
happens is the needles are
inserted underneath the skin at
the weakest…..at the joints for
the skull?
Russ: oohhh, that doesn’t sound
like much fun.
Tia: no and it probes into the
actual joints so it’s as close to
the brain as possible and they
normally give me medication that
takes away the pain whilst they’re
doing it and it makes me feel very
nauseous. And they've tried all
sorts of combinations of drugs so
that I’m not nauseous and
unfortunately some have made me
worse and some have been a little
better. The one they’re using is
probably the best but we’re going
to be next week or next month when
I do my next trip, they're going
to try a new one on me because
they don’t want me to be nauseous.
I have thrown up a few times.
Russ: oh you have?
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: oohh, well that’s nice that
you're doing that for them though.
Tia: yeah.
Russ: making them feel more at
home let's say.
Tia: I also enjoy being able to
plug it into the computer and do a
full holo with them so that’s my
payment.
Russ: oh okay cool.
