(Tia
starts with a joke about a recent
mini-crash that had taken place and we
use that in a quest for true happiness.
She uses Karra and the wealth in land
she was titled to due to her being the
eldest child as an example of how Karra
is happy regardless of that wealth
because her happiness comes from other
sources.)
Tia: oh I got
a joke for you.
Russ: oh what’s that?
Tia: the chairman of IBM lost so much
money on Monday that he had to sell
apples.
Russ: that’s a pretty good one.
Tia: I thought so.
Russ: how much did Gates lose?
Tia: 1.72 billion.
Russ: oohhhh.
Tia: that’s peanuts Russ, that’s
peanuts to him. So, he can only buy
three jumbo jets this year as opposed
to the five that he was planning, big
deal.
Russ: poor guy.
Tia: why?
Russ: well it means he’s almost
impoverished now.
Tia: oh he’s impoverished, especially
when he’s worth $30 billion dollars a
year.
Russ: yes but is he happy, that’s the
question? He’s got a new wife but is
he really happy?
Tia: I think so.
Russ: I wouldn't even work for a
living at that point.
Tia: I've learn't that money doesn’t
buy happiness. You can have lots and
lots of money and be happy but it’s
being happy with who you are.
Russ: yep.
Tia: not being happy because you have
lots and lots of money, it’s being
happy because you have what you want.
You have the spiritual belief system,
doesn’t matter what religious beliefs
you have that make you happy.
Russ: well you know I actually had a
revelation today?
Tia: okay.
Russ: I had a revelation that we’re
here on this planet to do great
things….
Tia: uh-huh.
Russ: but not necessarily great as far
as what history will see as great or
what even our friends will see as
great but only what we'll see as great
in future lives to come when we can
look back on it.
(Tia starts clapping)
Tia: stand up, take a bow, that’s very
deep and profound.
Russ: well thank you dear, I shall.
Tia: uh-huh. Now talking of
happiness…..
Russ: uh-huh.
Tia: take Karra for example…..
Russ: I do every day.
Tia: not as much as she would like I
assume.
Russ: you’re quite right.
Tia: uh-huh. But take Karra, she’s a
wealthy young lady….
Russ: yes.
Tia: she’s very wealthy.
Russ: uh-huh.
Tia: why is she so happy?
Russ: well she has me.
Tia: that’s just part of it.
Russ: oh, well she is accomplishing
all that she needs to do and doesn’t
depend on the wealth to do it with.
Tia: that’s correct. Her wealth, apart
from being material wealth, is mental
wealth.
Russ: absolutely.
Tia: that is what makes somebody
happy. If somebody is not mentally
wealthy but financially wealthy, they
search to find a way of finding that
mental wealth by using their money in
whatever way they think is necessary.
So take Bill Gates for example, he is
wealthy materially but he could also
be wealthy mentally and spiritually so
therefore he would be happy.
Russ: right.
